Mart Green: Above and 'Beyond the Gates of Splendor'

CBN.com If you asked Mart Green why God put him on this earth, he would answer with four words, "This Book Is Alive".

"We usually grow closer to God through seasons of adventure or seasons of adversity. As we live our lives, if we can draw from the truth of God's Word, nurtured by the discipline of daily reading, we can all become living translations of the Bible."

In June, 2002, Green founded Every Tribe Entertainment, (ETE) a full feature-film production company and serves as CEO and Executive Producer. ETE's first release, Beyond the Gates of Splendor, tells the powerful story of the tribe in Ecuador that speared five missionaries in 1956 and the hope that has followed the tragedy.

The feature-length documentary/drama was tested briefly in movie theaters in Oklahoma and Houston where over 25,000 people bought tickets in a six-week run.

Winner of the Crystal Heart Award at the Heartland Film Festival and Audience Favorite Documentary Award at the Palm Beach Film Festival, the film is greatly impacting our culture.

Beyond the Gates will release for home entertainment this Fall, however, Limited Edition Screening Kits are available now at no charge for the staff of qualifying churches, schools, or colleges.

ETE's second film, End of the Spear, an action adventure-drama (based on the documentary Beyond the Gates) is in final stages of post-production and is scheduled for release starting in January of 2006, the 50th anniversary of the martyrdom in Ecuador. Future film projects include documentaries and stories of people living in the persecuted church and amidst the ongoing crisis in Africa.

Mart's passion is to tell stories that help shape culture by inspiring hope through "Truth Beyond Imagination" which is a translation of "This Book is Alive" for all audiences.

Mart is also the founder and CEO of Mardel Christian and Educational Supply stores, a chain of 19 stores in six states, headquartered in Oklahoma City. He began his retail career with his parents in the Hobby Lobby chain of hobby arts and crafts stores, a chain of over 325 locations in 27 states. Today, he sits on the Hobby Lobby Board of Directors.

Mart and his wife, Diana, have been married for 23 years and they have four children: Brent, 20; Tyler, 18; Scott, 16; and Amy 14.

Every Tribe Entertainment will provide Beyond the Gates of Splendor and a packet of materials free to pastors for use in their churches. The toll free number for the distribution of the documentary packet is 800.695.9847.
