Holiday decorating and gift-giving has never been easier with Sandra Lee's semi-homemade tips.

Clever Containers

Fill a deluxe colander with some delicious treats for a gift that gives again and again—especially when pasta’s for dinner! Fill the colander with excelsior or shredded paper, and add some cellophane bags filled with baked goods or candies.

Magical Multitaskers

Give two gifts in one! Fill a cellophane bag with goodies, and slip it into an oven mitt or potholder. Tie on some curled ribbon as the finishing touch (curly bows from fabric ribbon are available at most shops selling gift-wrapping supplies). Or wrap up a gift with a pretty dishtowel or place mat topped off with a ribbon. Use double-sided transparent tape to secure the end of the linens not tied with a bow.

Glorious Grapes

For a simple holiday centerpiece, decorate with classic glass ornaments and fruit. Create frosty ornaments by first removing the cap and tossing a pinch of white glitter into the ornament ball. Replace the cap, and shake the ornament to disperse glitter onto all sides. In a basic glass bowl, layer bunches of ripe green grapes with staggered glass ornaments. Coordinate with any tablescape using different fruits such as cranberries or apples, and different colors of glitter for variety.

Frosty Fruit

Dress up plain produce with a dusting of sugar. Fill a disposable plate with granulated sugar. Lightly coat fruit of your choice (we used pears) with spray adhesive, and roll in sugar to coat completely. Fill a footed dish with sugar, and arrange the fruit on the dish for a fresh-looking centerpiece.
