CBN.com -Upon completion of regent university’s chapel this spring, the campus has a magnificent addition!

The sanctuary, though, still needed some finishing touches.  This was accomplished last week with the arrival of two 6 x 8 foot renaissance paintings.  The works were hand carried across campus to their new home. I commissioned the paintings from a company that specializes in hand-painted replicas of famous masterpieces.  My wife Dede and I stopped by to see the new arrivals.

“I wanted Jesus in the center.  And that stained glass is magnificent but at the same time it compliments.  It was a little empty before. And now its full. One is Ezekiel’s vision with god riding on the cloud.  The other is the Baptist of Christ.  Beautiful things I’m thrilled.”

Famous Italian artists painted the originals.  Ezekiel’s vision, painted by Raphael.  And the baptism of Christ, painted by Veronese.  The original artwork hangs in Italy.

Both of these hang in the Pitti Palace in Florence.  And we have a direct copy of them by a brilliant artist who painted them to our specifications.  And they are just magnificent.  I am just thrilled.

With a touch of Renaissance Italian flair, the regent chapel is officially complete.
