Dan Senor Biography

The 700 Club

Dan Senor is an investor, a best-selling author and an adjunct senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.

A senior foreign policy advisor to Mitt Romney during his 2008 presidential bid, Senor was one of the longest-serving civilian officials in Iraq in 2003 and 2004. For his service as senior advisor to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq, he was awarded the Distinguished Civilian Service Award by the Pentagon.

Senor has served as a Pentagon advisor to U.S. Central Command in Qatar, and as a foreign policy and communications advisor in the U.S. Senate during the 1990s.

His analysis is frequently published in The Wall Street Journal, and his work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Weekly Standard, Time and Newsweek. He appears frequently on CNBC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and the Sunday public affairs shows "This Week" on ABC and "Meet the Press" on NBC.

He is co-author of the best-seller Start-Up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle (Twelve Books, 2009).
