Women of Faith Conferences, featured speaker for 10 years; spoken to more than 2,000,000 women

Sheila Walsh first met Sara Trollinger on the set of The 700 Club. Subsequently, Sheila had Sara as a guest on the Heart to Heart program where the two women "just connected". Sheila has been national spokesperson for the House of Hope ministry ever since (about 10 years).
Sheila says, "I’ve traveled all over the world, conducted hundreds of television interviews, and been involved in all sorts of projects, and I’m convinced that [House of Hope] is the most effective program for reaching and helping hurting teenagers. It takes all kinds of people to make House of Hope possible. It works because of loving partners actually getting involved. It is a most God-inspired ministry."
Because Sheila is in Nashville and House of Hope is in Orlando, she has only one opportunity a year to meet and interact with the teens and assist in local fundraising efforts. Sheila’s role has been to assist House of Hope in national expansion and increased visibility. Because of Sheila’s involvement, Sara has opportunity to showcase House of Hope at Women of Faith conferences around the nation. From this exposure, Sara has met a number of women who have actually begun the process of bringing a House of Hope to their own community. Sheila's (and husband Barry’s) dream will be to see a House of Hope within driving distance to any family in America.
National Opportunity
In March 2004 Women of Faith will host its annual reunion conference for 65,000 women in San Antonio, Texas. Sheila, CeCe Winans, and other leading Christian performers will lead conferees in a worship concert. Max Lucado will join the regulars on the platform. During this conference, Sara will speak about House of Hope and the opportunities available to help and support the ministry. At every conference, women come up to Sheila and Sara to say, "We never knew there was such a place." Then they say one of two things: either "I know someone who needs to come," or "How can I get one of these started in my town?"
Sheila is a powerful Christian communicator who is a unique combination of author, speaker, worship leader, television talk-show host, and Bible teacher. She is a featured speaker at the nationwide Women of Faith Conferences and creator and host of the popular Children of Faith Conferences. Sheila co-hosted television's The 700 Club and her own talk show, Heart to Heart with Sheila Walsh, on the Family Channel. Sheila lives in Nashville, Tenn., with her husband, Barry, and son, Christian.
