Prayers Raised Up for Revival

CBN.com Since the terrorist attack, the people of New York have been coming together in a remarkable show of unity and faith. It was evident at a "Ground Zero remembrance" held by New York's North East Clergy Group.

One pastor said, "We just heard this week that there was a day care center in the World Trade and one worker took out six children and now the parents of all six children have died in that holocaust, we as the church must be embracing, Jesus, the Bible says he had compassion and he was moved with compassion."

Many pastors responded, "We also have gathered here for a time of unity," said one pastor. "We’ve been trying to do this for years, and this event has thrust us into making it happen, by God’s sovereign grace, I mean literally overnight."

"What we’re doing is we’re lifting up the name of Jesus and we’re pointing the World and the church back to God."

"This is the hour for the church, not only here at ground zero, but I think this is just the epicenter of where revival, sustained revival can start for this region, for this country, and I believe for the world," said another pastor, "It’s been my prayer and the prayer of many of the pastors here that buried in the rubble are the seeds of revival, we’ve been praying for revival for so long and we’re beginning to really see that."
