Exclusive Interview : Mitt Romney says "I'm Going to Win"
March 1, 2007

I'm just back from Boston and it's time to unveil the Mitt Romney interview. I sat down with him Wednesday at his Boston headquarters. I'm planning to put up seperate blog posts about each topic. But let's start with this one. He feels that the mainstream media is attacking him. You can watch the answer above and the transcription is below:
"The attenuated attacks are so unusual that I think it proves that the media has determined who the conservative candidate is because they're going after me with hammer and tong and that's the way you would expect to go after the conservative candidate. And I'm proud of the fact that the mainstream media isn't wild about my candidacy and that's why I'm going to win."
It's interesting how Romney is playing the blame the media game. Let's face it. A lot of people out there distrust the media so maybe he figures that people will sympathize with him a little if he frames this as "look at how the mainstream media is beating up this strong conservative." That could give him a lot of traction with conservatives who would agree with him wholeheartedly. Keep checking back. More to come. Comments?
