CBNNews.com - BLUFFTON, Ohio (AP) - They didn't win, but members of Ohio's Bluffton University baseball team got a standing ovation as they played their first game since five teammates died in an Atlanta bus crash.

The team wore black jerseys in honor of the victims instead of purple and white ones.

Five white crosses hung on a fence.

The father of one of the players who died said he felt compelled to see the game, a 10-5 loss to Mount St. Joseph of Cincinnati. John Betts said his son David would have wanted the team to play on.

And even though coach James Grandey couldn't lead the team with his right leg in a brace and his jaw wired shut, he couldn't stay away either.

The bus driver and his wife also died in the March Second accident.

An additional six players may miss all or part of the season while they recover from injuries.
