Brody File Readers Sound Off About Giuliani
April 9, 2007
We have been saying this for some time now here at The Brody File. Don't box Evangelicals into a corner. I know that many won't vote for Rudy Giuliani because of the abortion issue alone but others will overlook that.( and his marriages, and gay rights too) Here is a sampling of what is coming in to my inbox this morning:
"It's time that evangelicals (like me) determine that we must have other reasons for voting for a man than just his stand on abortion, homosexuals, etc. National security is our prime concern now."
"Look, as Christians it's a no brainer. We can only support a candidate who is pro life. Where is Newt?"
"How can Rudy be Catholic and be pro choice? If ever there was an oxymoron, it is this. We are pro Romney!!"
"As a progressive Democrat, I would vote for Rudy in the general election and am considering donating to his campaign in order to fend off this attack by Christian fundamentalists. I have many friends who are socially progressive and fiscally conservative. They also support Giuliani's campaign."
"I wouldn't vote for a Demon-crat if a gun were held to my head. And, if it were, I'd just see Jesus a little sooner then expected if I couldn't disarm the perpetrator."
"There is so much about Mr. Guiliani that I truly like; however, I'm having a very difficult time dealing with his stance on abortion. I'm waiting in the wings for someone to come out and run for President on the Republican ticket that will meet all of my requirements as a Christian and be as tough as I think Mr. Guiliani would be. Maybe Fred Thompson?"
I love
