Protected Status for Homosexuals?
CBN News
May 2, 2007
CBNNews.com - The House of Representatives is set to vote on a hate crimes bill that creates a special protected status for homosexuals.
Conservative Christian groups and like-minded lawmakers believe homosexuals should not be singled out as a separate class of people.
They argue that we already have laws to protect all Americans regardless of their sexual orientation.
They're also concerned the bill could lead to arrests of people who speak out against homosexuality.
Gay rights advocates say Conservatives are crying wolf.
