Barack Obama's Faith
June 4, 2007
There is a concerted effort by top tier Democratic presidential candidates to reach out to religious voters. Barack Obama has a pretty neat campaign site dedicated to faith only. It’s called “Faith, Action, Change” and basically if you go to the site you can read more about what Obama believes when it comes to his Christian faith. Plus, there are great articles about his spiritual journey and videos of past speeches on his faith.
Check it out
here.
Joshua DuBois is his Director of Religious Affairs. Here’s what he says about the site:
"Barack's faith has long informed his values and public service, as it does for millions of Americans. We've seen overwhelming support from people of faith on this campaign so we wanted to build a web community to help grassroots supporters connect with one another, tell folks a little about what Barack believes, share stories and ideas, and organize to change our country for the better."
You can read more about the site here.
Barack Obama has a unique opportunity. He has crossover appeal. There may be some Evangelicals very much willing to listen to him because he wears his faith on his sleeve. Maybe he’ll enter The Brody File one day. I’ll say a prayer. God answers prayer.
