Thompson Now Officially Seeking Presidency

CBNNews.com - In a much anticipated move, Fred Thompson made his decision to run for the presidency official Wednesday night.
The former Tennessee senator and veteran actor began his Iowa campaign Wednesday, kicking off a tour of early primary states.
The newest Republican presidential candidate champions himself as a common-sense conservative.
On Wednesday night's broadcast of NBC's "Tonight Show," Thompson declared his candidacy for the Republican nomination.
A 15-minute Webcast was also launched by the former senator, which discusses his reasoning for pursuing the presidency.
Thompson vows on the Internet to address his take on the "grave issues affecting the safety and security of the American people and our economic well being."
Some obstacles Thompson faces in his campaign are inconsistent staffing, fundraising problems, his thin record in the Senate and his criticized lobbying career.
