"School of Intercession" meetings  took place Thursday and Friday to prepare for The Call's "On the March" Las Vegas gathering, which is expected to pack UNLV's 20,000-capacity Thomas and Mack Center from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Stefanie Ungar, a 24-year-old student at the Kairos School of Ministry and a member of The International Church of Las Vegas, attended Friday's pre-rally.

"We gathered so that people would catch a deeper burden to pray for things to change in Las Vegas," said Ungar. "Prostitution is a huge problem in Las Vegas, which is the the number one city in the United States for sex trafficking and suicide. It's called 'Sin City' for a reason."

Ungar noted some of the featured speakers at Friday's meeting, including TheCall Institute's President, Lou Engle and the Director of the International House of Prayer, Mike Bickle, who is also the founder of the Forerunner School of Ministry.

"They spoke about how the government is working to make brothels legal in Las Vegas and urged us to also pray about the city's gambling addiction," Ungar said. "They called us to pray for people to become intercessors, for God to do something in Las Vegas and for everyone to catch a deeper burden to pray for things to change."

Christian singer Misty Edwards led worship at Friday's gathering, as well as The International Church of Las Vegas' worship team, said Ungar, who added that they would also lead praises at Saturday's event.

"They didn't say on Friday who will show up to speak and lead worship at Saturday's main event so that the main motivation is to come and pray," Ungar explained. "Other than Lou Engle, Mike Bickle and Pastor Paul Goulet of the International Church of Las Vegas, we have to wait to see who will be there."

Ungar, who fasted all day Friday in preparation for Saturday's event, was glad she participated in Friday's pre-rally, which was intended to emphasize the specific prayer needs for Las Vegas -- one of the nation's fastest-growing cities.
