Have you heard about this? A British school teacher is facing six months in jail and 40 lashes for allowing her students to name a teddy bear "Muhammad." She's been charged with "inciting religious hatred" and offending Islam - a very serious charge. (Read the entire story.)
NEWS FLASH: It's a stuffed animal; a harmless teddy bear that was named by the children in a "name the bear" contest! Are the officials that have charged this woman so touchy that they can't see that the teacher and kids meant no offense to the Prophet? These charges are ludicrous!
Here's the thing, in many Muslim countries it seems like every third guy is called "Muhammad!" Even in Great Britain the name is surging in popularity due to the high number of Muslim immigrants.
Anyway, I could go on and on, but why wear out my typing fingers? This is an insane charge. The government better drop these allegations or they will look very, very pithy in the eyes of the free world.
