CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - A poster marking the 43rd anniversary of the founding of the Palestinian Authority's (PA) Fatah faction features a map showing "Palestine" replacing the State of Israel.
The design incorporates a rife, meant to condone "armed resistance" -- a euphemism for terror attacks -- against Israel.
The commemorative piece, which has already been posted on several Fatah Web sites, was unanimously endorsed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's "moderate" Fatah leaders.
"The underlying message of the poster is that Fatah, like Hamas, doesn't recognize Israel's existence," said Jerusalem Post Palestinian Affairs correspondent Khaled Abu Toameh.
Toameh also said that incorporating a rifle in the poster "is sending a message to the Palestinian public that Fatah, like Hamas, has not abandoned 'armed resistance' despite current peace talks with Israel."
