Elon: Bush 'Disconnected from reality"

CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - Member of Knesset (MK) Benny Elon said U.S. President George Bush is "disconnected from the reality."
"In his way, [Bush] is leading us to catastrophe," Elon (National Union/National Relgious Party) told The Associated Press.
Several months ago, Elon drafted an alternative peace plan, which calls for granting Jordanian citizenship to Palestinians living in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), allowing Jordan to be the legal representative of the Arab population there.
"Palestine was already divided into two states -- Jewish and Arab. The Arab state is now Jordan, originally established in 1922, when Britain gave most of the land to Amir Abullah," Elon said.
An estimated 70 percent of Jordanian citizens are Palestinians.
Elon believes in Israel's biblical mandate as the eternal Jewish homeland, which should not be divided nor parceled out.
While Elon respects Bush's stance against Islamic terrorism, he disagrees with the president's plan to uproot Jewish communities anywhere in Israel.
