Trekking the Siberian Snow to Deliver Christmas

CWN.com - Did you know that some believers observe Christmas in January?
The world's 250 million Orthodox Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on January 7.
That's why a team of Americans and Russians braved below-freezing temperatures to take Christmas gifts to kids in Siberia this month.
They traveled hundreds of miles over frozen roads, and even made a four-hour trek on snowmobiles to reach these out-of-the-way folks.
Locals call this territory above the Arctic Circle "The End of the Earth" because of the cold and desolate terrain.
Most of these kids are the children of reindeer herders, who go away to boarding school for several months out of the year.
And every Christmas, a team from Chicago-based Russian Ministries makes the long, cold trip to tell them that Jesus loves them.
A caring friend will be there to pray with you in your time of need.
