CBNNews.com - Jordanian Foreign Minister Salah Bashir asked General James L. Jones, U.S. special envoy for Middle East security, to pressure Israel to end its counter-terror operations in the Gaza Strip.
"Israel has to stop its aggression and blockade of the Gaza Strip immediately and to realize the launching of real negotiations to reach purported peace will not happen while it continues its aggression and blockade against the Palestinian people," Jordan's foreign minister said.
"The United States and the world community should intensify their efforts to help the Palestinian and Israeli sides to achieve tangible progress in the final status talks and to honor their commitments under the agreement reached at the Annapolis conference," he said.
Meanwhile following Monday's suicide bombing in Dimona, Israel Police raised the national alert level to "C," the second highest level.
Following the Dimona attack, police have received more than 50 warnings of terror attacks, with a dozen specific warnings, designating intended targets.
