Iran's Missile Threat to the U.S.

When you think of Iran, you might not think it represents an immediate threat to the U.S. Certainly, small Iranian gunboats have encountered U.S. naval ships in the Persian Gulf, and U.S. soldiers have born the brunt of Iranian-trained terrorists and explosive devices in Iraq.
But you might not think the U.S. mainland could come under Iranian attack. This week, Iran may have come one step closer to being able to directly -- or indirectly -- threaten the U.S. mainland.
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced the test launch of an Iranian missile into space. If successful, this represents a quantum leap in Iranian missile capability.
So why does it also represent a threat to the U.S.?
Months ago, we interviewed one of Israel's best known missile experts, Uzi Rubin. Rubin stated plainly, "If you know how to put a satellite in orbit around earth, then you know how to put a bomb on the other side of the world." That's why it's important to the U.S.
