CBNNews.com - GAZA STRIP - A massive explosion Saturday leveled the three-story home of Ayman Atallah Fayyed, a senior member of Islamic Jihad. Six other houses were damaged by the blast.
Fayed, his wife and daughter were killed, along with three neighbors. Some 40 people were injured, nine of whom are in critical condition.
While Palestinian sources claimed an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) air strike targeted Fayyed's home, the IDF denied the charge, suggesting that the explosion resulted from a "work accident."
Fayyad manufactured Kassam rockets and his home may have been used as a warehouse for rockets.
Fragments of rockets were found in the rubble.
