CWN.com - Taking a look at what the war in Iraq has cost, insurgents have killed nearly 4,000 American soldiers and wounded 60,000 others.

Some estimate the war has cost more than $500 billion over the years. The toll on the Christian community in Iraq has also been steep.

They've become the targets of Muslim violence, and more than two-thirds have fled their homes.

But there have been gains. Iraq now has a constitution and free and Democratic elections. In the past year, the violence in Iraq has dropped by 60 percent.
