CBNNews.com - WESTERN NEGEV, Israel - A rocket salvo launched by Palestinians in Gaza Sunday set a house on fire, but no one was injured.

Islamic Jihad's al-Quds Brigades took responsibility for the rocket barrage on southern Israel.

Earlier Sunday, a Kassam rocket hit a kibbutz (agricultural community), causing no injuries or damage. The Popular Resistance Committee's Salah al-Din Brigades said they launched the Kassam.

Two more Kassams landed in open areas in the western Negev Monday morning, causing no damage or personal injury.

Meanwhile on Friday, a Grad-style Katyusha rocket landed in a cemetery in the coastal city of Ashkelon, damaging property but injuring no one.

"Because of the government's failed policy, even the dead cannot rest in peace in Ashkelon," said the city's mayor, Roni Mahatzri.

"The government and the man at its helm are doing nothing to stop rocket fire raining on Israel's South. We live in an intolerable situation in which the State's government cannot promise the citizens of southern communities the security they deserve," he said.
