JERUSALEM - Orthodox Easter has been celebrated with a colorful procession in Jerusalem.
Hundreds of Greek Orthodox Christians marched through the Old City of Jerusalem on Sunday. Many pressed around the Greek Orthodox patriarch to kiss his staff and the icon he carried.
The procession ended at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site where Christians believe Jesus was buried and rose from the dead.
Israel also allowed Palestinian Christians from Gaza to make an Easter pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
