CINCINNATI - Thousands of people have honored a once-missing U.S. soldier who died in Iraq.
The crowd mourning Staff Sergeant Matt Maupin on Sunday stretched from first base to third in Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park.
The Ohio soldier's remains were found in Iraq last month, nearly four years after he was captured by insurgents.
Chaplain Dale Ellens told the crowd that the service was a celebration, however, because Maupin now "is in the halls of glory with his savior."
Chaplain Jason Logan added, "Jesus is the one with the words of life and hope today."
