Televangelist's Estranged Husband Alleges Abuse in New Book

ATLANTA - In a book with chapter titles like "She Wanted to Be Oprah at Any Cost" and "I Would Rather Push You Now Than Punch You Later," the estranged husband of evangelist Juanita Bynum says he suffered physical and verbal abuse from her long before a parking lot dust-up landed him in jail.
In "What Love Taught me," Bishop Thomas Weeks III writes that Bynum instigated the August 21st shoving match to paint herself as a poster girl for domestic violence and to revive her flagging ministry.
Weeks originally planned to release the book on March 18th, days after he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and publicly apologized to Bynum in court. Bynum delayed the book's release by filing a request for an emergency restraining order. Two judges later denied Bynum's request.
