WESTON, Wis. - Parents who prayed as their 11-year-old daughter died of untreated diabetes have been charged with second-degree reckless homicide.

Dale and Leilani Neumann of Weston, Wisconsin, face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

Their daughter Madeline died Easter Sunday at the family's home.

The criminal complaint says her father considered the illness "a test of faith" and her mother never considered taking the girl to the doctor because she thought her daughter was under "spiritual attack."

Leilani Neumann has said that she never expected her daughter to die. She added that the family has nothing against doctors, but believes in the Bible and that healing comes from God.
