Olympic Torch Called No Comfort to Persecuted Christians

WASHINGTON - The president of Open Doors USA says the Olympic torch's triumphant passage through North Korea on Monday brought no comfort to that nation's tortured Christians.
The Reverend Carl Moeller says Christians are being starved and worked to death in North Korean prison camps, and those who escape to China are often caught and returned to be killed.
Moeller predicts that the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom will list both North Korea and China among the world's worst persecutors in its recommendations to the State Department on Friday.
During this North Korea Freedom Week, Open Doors USA and other ministries are urging Congress and all Americans to remember the plight of North Korean Christians.
