CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - Israel Defense Forces (IDF) chief of Military Intelligence Major General Amos Yadlin said Palestinian terror groups are planning a major terror attack on Yom Ha'atzma'ut (Israel's Independence Day), which begins at sundown Tuesday evening, May 7, and ends at sundown Wednesday, May 8.
While Israelis celebrate the nation's 60th anniversary, Yadlin said that terror cells would like to pool their resources to carry out a mega-attack in the country that day.
Yadlin also warned that thousands of Gaza-based Palestinians may try to storm the border with Israel, as they did in January when they blew up the concrete wall at the Rafah crossing at the border with Egypt.
According to Yadlin, Egypt's deployment of additional forces at Rafah, meant to prevent another attempt to breach its border, may cause the terror groups to direct their efforts at Israeli border crossings.
Senior Hamas terrorist Mahmoud al-Zahar warned that if the border crossings aren't opened, "all options will remain" in their hands.
