Obama Audio: I ask that God forgives me for my sins
April 30, 2008
After the Compassion Forum a few weeks ago, Barack Obama went backstage and answered certain faith based questions that were broadcast to some Churches across the country. The Brody File has audio of the answers thanks to our friends over at Renaissance Communications.
Obama was asked the following question:
In the quiet moments of your day, what do you pray for?

“I pray throughout the day but at night before I go to bed I have a fairly simple prayer. I ask that God forgives me for my sins. I thank him for all that he has given me especially my family which is a great treasure. I ask that he give peace to people in need and people in trouble and I ask that he makes me an instrument of his will. I figure that covers a lot of ground.”
With the Jeremiah Wright controversy swirling, I’m surprised Obama has any time to campaign. He might want to pray all day and fast too!
