Police Interrogate Olmert Friday

CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - Israeli Attorney General Menachem (Meni) Mazuz issued a permit allowing police a 48-hour window in which to question Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
The one-hour interrogation will take place at Olmert's Jerusalem residence on Friday.
"The prime minister intends to fully cooperate with law enforcement officials, as he has done in the past," a spokesman for his office told the press. "He is convinced that as the truth emerges in the framework of a police investigation, the suspicions against him will dissipate," he said.
The prime minister is facing three separate criminal investigations at this time.
One case involves alleged cronyism in an investment center and political appointments in the Small and Medium Business Authority, and political appointments throughout the ministry during his tenure as head of the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry.
Another case involves the unusually low purchase price of his home on Jerusalem's Cremieux Street allegedly in exchange for favors to the contractor.
The third case involves granting approved-industry status to a company represented by the prime minister's former law partner, Uri Messer, which saved the company $11 million and provided a series of government benefits.
