Sojourners President Jim Wallis spoke to CBN News about James Dobson's remarks on a speech Sen. Barack Obama gave two years ago.

Wallis is author of The Great Awakening: Reviving Faith & Politics in a Post-Religious Right America. He says Dobson's criticism's are uncalled for.

"That kind of language, that kind of very attacking discourse is not what we need in a political campaign, particularly from Christians. Secondly, I was at the speech. and what Barack Obama did was in fact defend how and why Christians should defend," he said.

"James Dobson just completely misinterpreted and misread what Barack Obama was saying," he said.
