Four Day Work Week Saving Drivers Money

CBNNews.com - More employers across the U.S. are turning to a four day work week to help cash strapped workers.
For many Americans, the costly daily commute is forcing them to ask their employers for help and a recent survey of 100 companies shows more than 50 percent are responding.
A least 20 percent are providing carpools and 18 percent offer help for public transportation. Another 14 percent are letting employees work from home one day a week.
Some critics say employees who have one day off a week still end up driving the same amount anyway.
But workers say it does save money on gas and other expenses like day care.
"I'm seeing at least $20- 30 just in a weeks time in savings," said Kim Noah of Aiken, S.C.
"If you have 3,500 workers off the road one day a week, you can't help but to save money," Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford explained.
Utah is latest state to implement the four day week. That means less commuting for 17,000 state workers.
