CBNNews.com - GAZA STRIP - The Hamas terror organization warned that no further word would be forthcoming from captured Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Corporal Gilad Shalit.
On Wednesday, Hamas allegedly delivered a new videotaped message and handwritten letter by Shalit to Egyptian officials in Cairo, according to Egypt's al-Ahram Weekly.
Shalit has been in captivity since June 25, 2006, when Palestinian terrorists from the Gaza Strip tunneled under the border and attacked an IDF outpost near the Kerem Shalom crossing. The terrorists killed two soldiers, wounded three and kidnapped Shalit.
Hamas negotiator Osama al-Muzaini said until Israel keeps the border crossings with Gaza open, there will be no further negotiations on Shalit's release.
Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak ordered the crossings closed again Friday, after a Kassam rocket attack on southern Israel Thursday evening.
On Thursday, 70 tractor trailers delivered supplies to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Egypt reopened the Rafah border crossing Wednesday to allow stranded people on both sides of the border to cross, but it was closed again after an angry mob of Gaza residents pelted Egyptian security forces with rocks.
