CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - Israel Police National Fraud investigators will question Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert for a third time Friday morning at Olmert's Jerusalem residence.

The third questioning session comes a week before the prime minister's legal team cross-examines American businessman Morris Talansky, whose pre-trial deposition last month at the Jerusalem District Court precipitated calls for the prime minister to step down.

Talansky testified on May 28 that he had given Olmert some $150,000 over a 15-year period, often in cash as requested. He also picked up the tab for luxury hotel accommodations, airline flights, and loans, among other things.

Following last month's deposition, a team of three Israelis traveled to the United States to follow the paper trail in New York, Washington and Las Vegas in the corruption case against the prime minister.

Olmert told party members -- and in turn the public -- that his attorneys' cross-examination of Talansky on July 17 "will collapse" the prosecution's case.
