Pope Warns of Environmental and Spiritual Poisons

SYDNEY, Australia - Pope Benedict has a full weekend of World Youth Day activities after meetings today with young Catholics and non-Catholics in Sydney, Australia.
The church's youth festival wraps up Sunday morning with a papal Mass.
The pope is to fly back to Rome on Monday.
On Thursday, Benedict warned the pilgrims that "if God is irrelevant to public life, then society will be shaped in a godless image."
He said both environmental and spiritual "poisons" threaten to corrode the good in society.
