Hurricane flags remained flying from Brownsville to Corpus Christi on Wednesday as Hurricane Dolly rolled ashore.
The storm carried winds of around 85-miles-per-hour.
There were reports of power outages as the storm grew stronger when it made landfall. Minor damage was also reported.
Governor Rick Perry has already declared disaster areas in 14 Texas counties. Units of the Texas National Guard and emergency crews have already mobilized to respond to where they may be needed.
