CBNNews.com - Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is rumored to be on John McCain's short list for running mates.
At Washington's National Press Club, Wednesday, the governor challenged Republicans to grow their party by appealing to "Sam's Club Republicans."

That's what Pawlenty calls working class, Reagan Democrats who share GOP values like accountability and smaller government.
Pawlenty says evangelicals are still an important part of the GOP, and America's cultural fabric.
"Republican candidates, all candidates, are going to have to vie for that vote. And have Republicans historically had an advantage with it? Yes. But we can't take it for granted," he said. "I would also say people who would want to dismiss that vote are making a very grave mistake."
Pawlenty also challenged both parties to run positive campaigns.
