Georgia Churches Help in the Midst of Battle

CWN.org - Churches and other Christian ministries are helping refugees from the fighting in South Ossetia and Georiga.
But some of those churches are even in the battle zone.
Mission Network News reports that three evangelical churches in the town of Chinvali have been damaged in the fighting. They were providing physical and spiritual help.
Meantime, in Tbilisi, the Christian relief agency World Vision is helping those seeking safety there.
Director David Womble described their suffering.
"There were two girls aged eight and 10 who had escaped South Ossetia, a Georgian village in South Ossetia, but they have no idea where their parents are. Their parents didn't escape and they don't know if they are alive or dead," he said. "This has taken a very, very human toll."
In North Sssetia, Christian churches are helping refugees from the south.
Those same churches helped the victims of the Beslan School massacre in 2003.
