Muslims Worldwide Celbrate Month of Ramadan
This week marked the beginning of Islam's holy month of Ramadan.
During this time, the world's one billion Muslims will fast during daylight hours to focus on spiritual matters.
In Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christianity, packed mosques forced Muslims to pray outside, even in front of the church nativity.
Bethlehem's Christian community has dwindled, falling from 15 percent in 1950 to a little more than 2 percent today.
Christian Ministry Moves to Reach Muslims
Most of the world's Muslims live in a part of the world known as the "10-40 window."
The area stretches from north Africa across the Middle East and Asia to the Pacific Ocean.
Beverly Peguese is president of the Window Information Network, a ministry that calls people to pray for the nations in the window.
She told CBN News that God is at work in the region.
"God is visiting people by dreams and visions. We have stories where entire villages are having the same dreams -- an entire village everyone has the same dream, so they wake up in the morning, they talk about their dream," she said.
"Dreams are a big deal in that part of the world and then they find out that everybody had the same dream and so they start looking for people who are showing the Jesus film for example," Pegeuse added. "So whole villages are coming to the Lord."
