McCain: The senator takes a bold, pro-Israel stand, and believes a nuclear-armed Iran is a direct threat to the nation. He says the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations should be encouraged, but believes that Israelis must be able to live in safety through that process. He backed an amendment to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization.

Quote: "I am committed to making certain Israel maintains its qualitative military edge. Israel's enemies are too numerous, its margin of error too small, and our shared interests and values too great for us to follow any other policy."  

Obama: The senator supports Israel's right to exist and would support sanctions against Iran if it does not abandon its nuclear program, support for terror, and threats to Israel. He supports a two-state solution between Israel and Palestinians. He believes Jerusalem should remain Israel's and should not be divided.

Quote: "I welcome the Muslim world's accurate perception that I am interested in opening up dialogue. but nobody should mistake that for a softer stance when it comes to terrorism or when it comes to protecting Israel's security or making sure that the alliance is strong and firm. You will not see, under my presidency, any slackening in commitment to Israel's security."
