Two political strategists say young people and the Democrat's faith outreach played a major role.

Republican strategist Princella Smith of the Independent Women's Voice and Democratic strategist Eric Sapp of the Eleison Political Consulting Group gave their analysis of the 2008 campaigns on The 700 Club special election coverage.

They spoke about what Democrat Barack Obama did to control the central themes of the race, his message of change and the role of the media in this election.

Smith talked about the role of the young people in this presidential race and how their record numbers gave the Illinois senator the White House.

Sapp also spoke about how Democrats improved their message to the faith community.
