Study: Exercise Not Enough to Lose Weight

Exercise alone won't help you lose weight, a new study shows.

The study recently published in the journal Obesity shows that a good diet is the key to shedding pounds.

The study compared a group of women in Chicago with a group of women in Nigeria. Both groups got the same amount of exercise, but the Nigerian women were more than an average of 50 pounds lighter.

Researchers say the difference is the Nigerian diet, which is high in fiber and carbohydrates, and low in fat and animal protein.

This doesn't mean that exercise doesn't help, they say. It's just that eating right is more important for losing weight.
