New jobs were added, wages increased, and corporate earnings set records.
But Dan Gainor, from the Business and Media Institute, has taken a look into the media coverage of the economy last year.
He says the broadcast networks painted a bleak economic picture last year, averaging one story a week that included references to a recession or depression -- and sometimes even invoking images of the Great Depression of the 1930s.
