Make Big Profits on eBay

Work From Home: Sell It Smart
Going Online: Jacquelyn Lynn says eBay could be the key to starting your own million dollar business. Judging by the numbers of eBay users, 100 million by some counts, many people have some experience with the online auction site. But, do you know how to make eBay really work for you?
Starting Small: Lynn says developing your power-selling skills is as easy as selling a few items from around your house. Do you have an old lamp you were thinking of selling at your next garage sale? “It’s a totally risk free education,” says Lynn. Once you’ve decided you’re ready to really start selling and making money, Lynn says it’s important to find products you have an interest in. “Things that you’re going to enjoy working with. Things that you’re going to enjoy marketing in writing,” she says. However, she says outdated fads do not work well. “You might be able to get rid of all your Beanie Babies, but it will be for literally pennies on the dollar,” she says.
Tips for Success
Be Honest: Lynn says honestly in marketing is the best way to build a solid reputation as a seller on eBay. A good reputation can mean more money.
Take Good Pictures: Welll-lit, high resolution photographs are the best way to show off your products. A picture in the search results has been shown to increase sale prices by 11 percent.
Timing Is Everything: Just because eBay is up and running 24 hours a day, doesn’t mean your customers are. The most bidding takes place in the last hour of an auction. So make sure yours ends at a time when your customers are likely to be online.
Don’t Underestimate Shipping and Handling Fees: Have a scale to weigh items so you can get an accurate shipping cost estimate.
Other Online Auction Sites
The market may be dominated by eBay, but there are some other options out there.
