CBN.com - INDONESIA - Rita and Harjono of Indonesia are successful, hard-working business owners who often help others in need. But Rita says something still seemed to be missing from their lives.
“My husband and I were confused. We really weren’t that religious; but I never thought that might be the cause of how empty we felt inside,” she says. “I was the kind of person who always followed the crowd. It is easier to marry under the Islamic law; so that’s what I did. But then I became confused of who God really was.”
Rita had started watching a CBN TV program called Solusi, the Indonesian version of The 700 Club. One night, Rita got the courage up to contact CBN via text message. She asked if we could help her to find the true God.
A few days later, CBN Indonesia sent a prayer counselor to their home.
“I was so happy when I met him. They treated me like I was a member of his family, even though I knew I was sinner,” Rita says.
Soon after that visit, Rita, Harjono and their two children started going to church and prayed to become Christians.
“My heart is no longer empty. I can’t wait to pray and have time with Jesus each day,” Rita says. “I am thankful that through CBN I was able to get to know the true God.”
