CAMBODIA - In a remote area like Takeo Province, Cambodia, most villagers are farmers and getting medical attention is far beyond their means. Those who need medical care must travel far away—if they can afford the trip and the treatment. Most can only hope their condition does not worsen.
But this fall, CBN Cambodia brought medical care to them. Doctors and dentists treated 603 patients and gave much needed medications all free of charge.
One patient, 60-year-old Chon, had suffered with tremors for ten years that made eating difficult and prevented him from standing or sleeping at night.
“Thank you CBN Cambodia for providing us free medication and good physicians,” says Chon. “I believe I will get better after taking medication. May God bless you.”
Accompanying the medical outreach was a children’s corner where the many children in the villages came to learn about dental hygiene and watch episodes of CBN Cambodia’s popular TV program Super Kids Club. The children also played games, ate snacks and heard the story of Jesus.
6-year-old Touch told the CBN team, “Today, I am so happy. I got to play games and meet new friends. This is the first time you’ve come to my village, I hope you come again!”
Thanks to the generous support of CBN partners our staff in Cambodia were able to bring help to the people of Takeo. If you are not yet involved, please join us in bringing hope and healing to people around the world. Become a partner today!
