Brazilian police have arrested more than ten men suspected of belonging to a group that allegedly planned carrying out attacks during the Olympics.

Justice Minister Alexandre de Moraes on Thursday announced the arrest of 10 Brazilians police said had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State and discussed on social media the possibility of staging attacks during next month's Games.

Another suspect turned himself in Friday night. That leaves one more person the police are looking for.

De Moraes said the group was not organized or efficient calling it "absolutely amateur -- with no preparation."

The group essentially said, "Let's start training in martial arts, let's start learning how to shoot," the justice minister said.

Despite the potential failed attack, Brazilian police remain on high alert after Al Qaeda recently called for lone wolf terror attacks in Rio.

The Foreign Desk reports the jihadis are told to use explosives, poisons, and other means of terror.

Meanwhile, Brazilian forces have been practicing with French SWAT teams to simulate terror attack scenarios. Brazil vows it will be ready to handle any plot of violence.
