One week after stocks tanked over Britain's decision to leave the European Union, the world's markets are rebounding.

Investors seem to be more confident and have cast aside much of their anxiety after Britain's vote, known as Brexit. The British pound recovered some of its losses this week, but still remains at its 31-year low.

Some analysts say investors should still proceed with caution.

"Stock markets may find it difficult to return immediately to the levels seen before last week's vote with buyers being wary about being too aggressive in what may yet be another volatile swing," Ric Spooner, chief market analyst at CMC Markets, said.

Meanwhile, European Union leaders are meeting in Brussels Wednesday to discuss the future of their bloc.

But British Prime Minister David Cameron left after EU leaders rejected his pleas for favorable conditions once Britain leaves the union.

EU leaders say they will not make exceptions for Britain. They believe that making it easy for Britain could send a message to other countries that the European Union is willing to cherry-pick.

It is still unclear if other countries will follow Britain's lead and leave the European Union.
