University Partners with Abortion Center to Exchange Baby Body Parts

The Medical school at the University of New Mexico has been caught partnering with an abortion center and allowing resident physicians to perform abortions. 

Unborn baby body parts were given to the university from a local abortion facility called Southwestern Women's Options (SWWO), according to christiannews.net.

The Congressional Select Panel on Infant Lives investigated how abortion facilities partnered with the school. 

"Through its investigation, the panel has discovered that personnel within UNM's hospital and medical school have aggressively engaged in expanding abortion in New Mexico through the offices, personnel and resources of UNM," wrote Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R.-Tenn.

Blackburn is chairman of that congressional panel and was a part of the investigation. She says the exchange is a violation of federal rules. 

The panel sent a criminal referral to the attorney general of New Mexico outlining their concerns over the school's connection with the abortion facility.

"Laboratory notes produced to the panel reveal that a UNMHSC employee has collected aborted infant tissue collected from SWWO an average of 39 times a year," the accompanying report outlines. "Organs harvested include brains/head, heart, lung, eyes/retina, kidney, spleen, adrenal gland, intestines, bone marrow, and stomach," Blackburn said in her letter. 

According to the panel's investigation, the university not only worked to help train new abortionists, but allowed resident physicians to perform abortions at Southwestern Women's Options. 

Blackburn has requested that New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas investigate the findings.
