JERUSALEM, Israel – Israeli troops demolished the second floor apartment of the Palestinian terrorist who stabbed an Israeli teenager to death in her bed earlier this summer.

The demolition, carried out in accordance with government policy, destroyed the home in a carefully executed controlled explosion.

Residents of Bani Naim, the Arab village where the terrorist lived, threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at the troops, but no one was hurt.

On the morning of June 30, Mohammed Nasser Tarayrah, 19, climbed the security fence at Kiryat Arba, near Hebron, entered a home and found 13-year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel sleeping in her bedroom. He locked the door before stabbing her repeatedly and slitting her throat.

A community security guard shot and killed him, despite having been stabbed himself.

Tarayrah's mother praised her son, calling him a hero and saying "he made me proud."

"My son died as a martyr defending Jerusalem and the al-Aksa Mosque, praise be to Allah," she said. "Allah willing, all of them will follow this path, all the youth of Palestine."
